Zeigrick (Zee-gr-ick)

Zeigrick is one of the two main characters along with Eckden. The people of Known Space have evolved to have a wide variety of appearences, but even here Zeigrick stands out. Zeigrick's body has scares which make his appear much like Frankenstein's monster. Yet the differences go further then just the physical, Zeigrick has a bizarr chemistry that makes his body superior to that of the regular being. His skin is thick and hard, he has unatural strength, agility, and hearing, and, in an even freakier twist, he has no physical need to breath. Zeigrick has a somewhat rash personality. He is quick to anger, highly untrusting, and distant from everyone except Eckden. Zeigrick has a friendship pendant he's somewhat protective of.

 

 

Eckden (ehk-den)

Eckden is the all around good guy, a friendly spirit of the ancient race of goblins, a far contrast to his companion Zeigrick. Considering all the trouble he and Zeigrick have on their hands it's hard to tell how he can keep such a straight face. Yet below this cheerful exterior lies a much more intricate personality, there is more to Eckden then he lets on. In fact, Eckden's mental abilities may very well be genius level, but it's nearly impossible to tell seeing as he hides his prowess under his unassuming charismatic personality.

 

 

 

Zukaishi (Zoo-Kay-Shee)

Appearing to the eye as a quirky girl with a pleasant personality and a face that makes you want to smile, Zukaishi certainly doesn't come off as a high ranking officer in the North Space Army. Known to some by her cheerful off-job personality and others by her serious work personality, different people regard Zukaishi in different manners. It is known that she is the only person able to pilot the Avril 17 Rotational Ion Fighter, currently the most advanced ship in Known Space.
